Hollyoaks returnee Hannah Ashworth will face the wrath of Carter Shepherd’s dark side upon her return.

Hannah will head back to the village in upcoming scenes, as Emma Rigby reprises her role after 13 years.

Hannah’s mum Suzanne is also returning in next week’s episodes, as part of a big new story involving Darren Osborne – who is the father of her twins.As Hannah settles into the Osbornes’, she is quick to remind Darren of his fatherly duties.

Jack also tries to encourage his son to make an effort with the twins, and he eventually comes to his senses after an eye-opening chat with Theresa.

Taking their advice, Darren tries to mend his broken relationship with his kids, but it is clearly not going to be an easy ride.

Meanwhile, Gareth continues to threaten Carter after filming him and John Paul kissing outside Hollyoaks High.

Hannah walks in on the pair kissing, and shares a a joyous reunion with John Paul.

It later becomes clear that Hannah is in trouble with an unknown caller but her day gets even worse when she overhears an upsetting conversation between Gareth and Carter.Concerned about what she heard, Hannah confronts Carter at the school, prompting him to lose his temper.

As seen in Hollyoaks’ brand new trailer, Carter turns violent with Hannah during this confrontation, knocking her unconscious.The drama doesn’t stop there, either, as Hannah’s mum Suzanne soon turns up in the village as well.

The Osborne family finally seem to be bonding when Suzanne comes bursting in, asking where the twins are.

Hannah begs her mum to let the twins stay with Darren, but Suzanne isn’t having any of it and begins packing up their belongings.As Darren begs for one more day with his children, JJ admits to Nancy that the family don’t actually have a home to go back to.

Wanting to help, Nancy suggests that they all stay until they find their feet again – but how will this go down with Suzanne?
